It is perfect with steak…or chicken…or anything! It’s like candy … only better! When done making it – HIDE IT! (if not serving immediately)
- 3 tbsp (45ml) butter
- 1 packet (300g) button mushrooms
- 1/2 onion, grated
- 1 tbsp (15ml) brown sugar
- 2 tbsp (30ml) balsamic vinegar
- Melt the butter in a saucepan.
- Add mushrooms and onion.
- Add brown sugar and balsamic vinegar.
- Increase the heat and simmer until liquid has reduced to a glaze.
Serve either warm or cold.
